Want to Help People When They Need It Most? You'll be the first person new clients speak to when they reach out for help. As a Legal Intake Specialist at Herman & Wells, you'll guide them through the first steps of their case, manage the sign-up process, and make sure every new client feels supported and heard. You'll have an opportunity to work in a fast-moving environment, speak with potential clients, work closely with attorneys, and improve how we bring new clients into the firm. Your role will directly shape the client experience and help people in tough situations feel understood and cared for. About You: You are empathetic and a great listener, making clients feel at ease from the first call. You love problem-solving and staying organized, handling multiple tasks without missing details. You have at least one year of experience in phone-based sales or legal intake, where you have guided people through decisions, handled objections, and successfully converted leads into clients. • Supervise new client onboarding and current client files through data entry and paperwork collection to ensure our cases are managed efficiently
• Coordinate awareness initiatives and foster relationships with other attorneys alongside the marketing team in order to help grow our prospective client base
• Book consultations for prospective clients with our lawyers to expand our caseload and ensure meeting schedules are accurate
• Screen incoming potential client phone calls to make sure the case falls within the scope of the firm, while helping the caller feel heard and understood
• Take charge of various office tasks such as email correspondence, document management, data organization, and research to make sure our firm is running at peak efficiency Qualifications:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Previous legal experience a plus
• Previous experience with CRM and case management software desired
• Possesses outstanding communication skills and sense of empathy Compensation: $18.5 - $24 hourly
