We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance law, with a focus on products liability, bad faith, wrongful death, and personal injury. You will have the opportunity to work on complex cases and provide legal guidance to our clients. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in civil litigation matters including personal injury, wrongful death, bad faith, and products liability.
2. Analyze and interpret insurance policies to provide advice and guidance to clients on potential liability and coverage issues.
3. Prepare and present cases in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
4. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
7. Maintain current knowledge of changes in insurance law and related areas of practice.
8. Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
9. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on products liability, bad faith, wrongful death, and personal injury.
4. Proficient in legal research and writing.
5. Strong negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
7. High level of integrity and professional ethics.
8. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
9. Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
