We are seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our team. As an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney, you will handle a significant caseload, defending our clients in various insurance matters. This position requires a deep understanding of insurance law, excellent research abilities, and outstanding legal writing skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in insurance defense.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in court presenting evidence to defend clients
2. Conduct legal research and gather evidence for defense strategies in insurance cases.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and contracts.
4. Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations concerning insurance matters.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in disputes where insurance is involved.
6. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses involved in insurance cases.
7. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
8. Maintain professional competence by keeping up-to-date with changes in insurance law and relevant legal practices.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state Bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years' experience in insurance defense.
4. In-depth understanding of insurance law and procedures.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
6. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
7. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Ability to handle a significant case load and work under pressure.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
11. Proficiency in legal research software and MS Office.
