A premier litigation boutique with offices in Westchester and Central New Jersey seeks an experienced Insurance Defense Partner to join its thriving Insurance Practice Group. This is a unique opportunity for a senior-level attorney with a portable book of business to integrate into a highly respected and strategically growing team.
This firm provides aggressive, sophisticated litigation services to insurers and self-insured entities across first- and third-party coverage matters, subrogation, reinsurance disputes, and complex commercial litigation. Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of insurance defense litigation experience, ideally including first- and third-party claims, coverage analysis, and complex commercial disputes.
- Strong trial and/or arbitration experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of New York and/or New Jersey insurance law.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes matters independently and/or as part of a team.
- A portable book of business ($500K+ preferred) with the desire to scale further within a supportive platform.
- Experience advising on catastrophe litigation, municipal claims, transportation liability, or fraud investigations is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent insurers and self-insured clients in all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation strategy, coverage evaluation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
- Provide thoughtful and strategic counsel to clients on litigation avoidance, risk exposure, and regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with clients to provide internal training and proactive claims management solutions.
- Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the ongoing development of practice group strengths.
- Cultivate and grow client relationships in alignment with firm values and business development goals.
