Job Details:
Join our dynamic team as an Insurance Coverage Attorney. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation, as well as some insurance defense. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Insurance Coverage Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Handling a wide variety of insurance coverage and defense claims including professional liability, general liability, E&O, D&O, all construction trades, mold, water damage, etc.
2. Managing a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end.
3. Working closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects.
4. Representing clients in a wide range of insurance coverage disputes at mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
5. Communicating with clients and providing timely reporting and evaluations.
6. Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and experts.
7. Identifying and developing potential legal issues or defenses, and developing case strategy and budgeting.
8. Engaging in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in the state of California.
3. 2+ years of insurance defense or insurance coverage experience is preferred.
4. Experience conducting depositions and managing litigation files from inception through trial.
5. Excellent writing, communication, research, and analytical skills.
6. Experience with trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
7. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
8. Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
9. Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
10. Ability to think and act strategically, and to demonstrate creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
