Position: NY/NJ Insurance Account Manager - Commercial Real Estate
Location: Manhattan, NY or Whippany, NJ
Pay Range: $90,000 to $180,000 Base Salary
Responsibilities:
- Service a commercial lines book of business, including application preparation, policy renewal management, and COI/EPI preparation and distribution.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Conduct in-depth account reviews to identify coverage gaps and tailor solutions.
- Manage multiple large accounts, deadlines, and data, including real estate schedules.
- Balance and triage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and service.
- Analyze client loss run/claim history to identify risk management solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals to clients.
- Collaborate with producers and underwriters to market and quote new business and renewals.
- Review commercial real estate market standards, contract specifications, and lending requirements to assess risks and recommend solutions.
- Provide superior client service while managing a commercial lines book of business with premiums ranging from $500k to $8M.
- Work outside of normal business hours as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in large commercial property & casualty, specifically real estate.
- Strong understanding of NY real estate market standards, contracts, and lending requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and NY/NJ insurance markets.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency with agency management systems, especially EPIC.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to prioritize workflow to meet multiple deadlines.
- Insurance Property and Casualty License required (NY/NJ).
