Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Instrument and Controls Support Technician to join the team. This hands-on role is critical to keeping operations running safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the electrical system in an industrial environment. If you're comfortable working with main switchgear panels, VFDs, energized panels, and have strong knowledge of NEC codes, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain main switchgear and motor control systems.
  • Wire, test, and replace relays; apply relay logic.
  • Identify and implement lockout/tagout procedures and understand various power sources (120V - 480V).
  • Use multimeters to test voltage, continuity, and amperage accurately.
  • Adjust parameters on VFD and soft starts.
  • Relocate panels and update wiring according to NEC code.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Work in energized panels using full PPE.
  • Use torque wrenches and hand tools for safe, accurate connections.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets NEC and internal standards.

Additional Duties:

  • Bend and install conduit (EMT, rigid, seal-tight) up to 4".
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety protocols

Work Schedule & Conditions:

  • Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 3pm
  • Overtime may be required, based on operational needs.
  • Emergency jobs may occur on weekends.
  • Must be willing to travel to various jobs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Completion of a Motor Control Course.


• Coursework or certification in schematic reading.


• Experience with panel relocation and industrial electrical upgrades.
