Summary of Duties
The Instructor has the responsibility for developing curricula and teaching Addictions, Mental Health and Social Work Assistant (AMS) Program courses, as well as completing course assessments and student evaluations.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Instructor has the responsibility for developing curricula and teaching Addictions, Mental Health and Social Work Assistant (AMS) Program courses, as well as completing course assessments and student evaluations. In addition, specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Teach AMS Program courses according to expected work load (18 contact hours per week), which may include day, evening, and/or weekend classes. Teaching assignments may include didactic, distance education, and practicum courses.Provide 10 office hours per week, 7 in person and 3 virtually for student advising, curriculum development, online course development/delivery, textbook review/selection, and assessment activities.Provide 12 hours of professional and community service. Includes attending faculty and curriculum meetings, participation in professional development, mentoring adjunct instructors, serving on campus committees, and community activities.Be committed to implementation of the philosophy and conceptual framework of the AMS Program.Maintain appropriate professional certifications and licenses as applicable.Understand and be committed to the Rhodes State College mission and two-year college instruction.Actively engage student success and completion initiatives within a comprehensive student support design.Be committed to AMS education professional development.Perform other similar duties as required.Education & Certifications
Required:
- Masters in Social Work or Counseling.
Preferred:- Currently holds LISW or LPCC in Ohio.
