Job Summary:

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Instructor I has responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, classroom and lab instruction of basic refrigeration theory, heating, ventilation and air conditioning classes. Assigned classes may occur during the day, evening, and/or online. This is an exempt position that reports to LSCPA's Business and Industrial Technology Department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's of Applied Science Degree in HVAC or similar field (experience may possibly be substituted for the education requirement)
  • Three (3) years of recent repair and maintenance experience in the field and/or relevant teaching experience
  • Evidence of ability to work independently
  • Evidence of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Evidence of good communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of recent experience in the field
  • Knowledge of Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations rules and regulations regarding air conditioning and refrigeration contractors and technicians

Salary:

Commensurate

Work Hours:

Full time hours, Monday - Friday, with possibility of some evenings, depending upon class schedule
