Applied Music Lesson Instructor
Position Summary
The College of Music is seeking a qualified Instructor of Violin to teach applied violin lessons during the Summer Semester. This temporary, fixed-term position is intended to provide individualized instruction to music majors and minors enrolled in applied violin. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of performance proficiency, strong pedagogical skills, and a commitment to student development in a one-on-one instructional setting.

Required Degree
Masters -Music
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in Violin Performance, Music Education, or a closely related field
Demonstrated proficiency in violin performance
Prior experience teaching individual violin lessons
Strong communication skills and a commitment to student learning and development
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated success in teaching applied violin at the collegiate or advanced pre-college level
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with diverse student populations
A record of performance as a soloist and/or ensemble member is preferred
