Institutional Sales Representative

Location: New York, NY or Long Island, NY Department: Institutional Sales, Equity Capital Markets


Position Overview:

We seek several dynamic and experienced Institutional Sales Representatives to join our expanding Institutional Sales team. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, including asset managers, hedge funds, and family offices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate and execute equity, equity-linked, and structured/convertible sales to institutional clients
  • Maintain and grow a book of institutional investor relationships
  • Partner closely with investment banking and research teams to communicate ideas and offerings to clients
  • Market new issues follow-on offerings, private placements, and trading opportunities
  • Stay informed of market trends, economic data, and sector-specific developments
  • Participate in roadshows, investor calls, and capital markets events

Qualifications:

  • Active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in institutional sales at an investment bank, with a particular focus on micro-cap and small-cap
  • Demonstrated success in selling financial products to institutional clients
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and investment strategies
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a performance-driven environment
