Swoon is partnered with a family-oriented distributor of commercial and industrial filtration products to hire an Inside Sales Specialist - Mechanical. This role offers an opportunity to join a collaborative team and drive customer success in a specialized sector.

Location: Fully On-site in Des Plaines, IL (Headquarters)

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 base + 10% performance-based bonus (paid quarterly)

About the Role:

The Inside Sales Specialist - Mechanical serves as the primary contact for existing customers, managing 500+ accounts and up to $2.2M in revenue. This role works closely with Territory Sales Managers and Sr. Account Managers to drive customer growth, enhance relationships, and increase sales through strategic support and upselling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound calls and support mechanical contractor accounts.
  • Process will-call orders and coordinate deliveries across multiple locations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer revenue through relationship management.
  • Support outside sales efforts, track quotes, and assist with customer acquisition.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services to maximize revenue.

Qualifications:

  • 2 or 4-year degree preferred or relevant work experience.
  • 1-2 years of customer service and/or dispatch experience.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
