About Gateway and WANRack:

St. Louis-based Gateway Fiber and Kansas City-based WANRack have merged to create a national fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) platform serving residents, businesses, and schools across 25 U.S. states. Gateway Fiber, founded in 2019, provides high-speed internet to residential and commercial customers across Missouri, Massachusetts, and Minnesota. WANRack, launched in 2013, is a broadband provider that serves school districts and libraries through its E-Rate program, as well as residential and commercial customers in eastern Kansas via its KWIKOM subsidiary.

The merger combines the resources of both companies, resulting in greater scale, improved operations, and enhanced growth opportunities for employees and the organization. The combined company is expanding its product offerings for small and medium-sized businesses while addressing increasing commercial and wholesale internet needs.

Expected Outcomes and Requirements:

Gateway is hiring an Inside Sales Representative to drive customer acquisition while being the face of Gateway Fiber in support of our goal of adding 100,000 residential & business passings per year. The Inside Sales Representative is expected to contribute in the following significant ways:

  • Contact customers with abandoned online orders to identify obstacles and assist them in completing their purchases.
  • Reconnect with previously unresponsive leads to gauging renewed interest and exploring sales opportunities.
  • Manage and convert inbound leads generated through Hubspot, guiding prospects through the sales funnel to close deals.
  • Reach out to former residential and business customers to understand their reasons for departure and present updated solutions to win them back.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to handle warm leads and turn service-related interactions into successful sales.
  • Execute targeted outbound call campaigns using curated lead lists and customer insights to generate interest and drive sales.
  • Conduct cold calls when appropriate to identify new sales opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Accurately track all interactions, follow-ups, and outcomes in CRM systems to maintain a clear pipeline and ensure follow-through.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently and work well within a group.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools to track leads and opportunities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-centric approach to sales.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve sales strategies and techniques.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
