About the Position:
As an Inside Sales Associate (ISA), you have a passion for engaging with customers, global channel partners, and colleagues to ensure a smooth sales development process and consistently high level of customer satisfaction. You will utilize your technical acumen, sales, and/or lab experience combined with interpersonal skills to sell product/service solutions that help organizations advance our understanding of human disease and develop therapeutic treatments. The ISA is a key member of the business development team and therefore plays an important role in helping the company achieve its commercial goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Focus on presales activities, utilize prospecting tools, automation, and resources available to develop and execute outbound email campaigns that generate sales leads to grow the total number and value of sales opportunities; assist marketing and sales with gathering intelligence on accounts and prospective customers.
- Create and update customer records in the CRM, collaborate with sales management to establish and maintain sales performance dashboard metrics.
- Serve as POC for global channel partners, respond to inbound inquiries generated via channel partners, website content and marketing campaigns, routinely build and nurture relationships; a strong customer focus is critical to ensure that customers' needs are both understood and managed in a proactive and professional manner.
- Qualify sales leads according to established criteria and forward qualified leads to the appropriate territory sales account manager or develop price quotes and capture purchase orders for assigned customer accounts, as applicable.
- Communicate value propositions, upselling services and making product recommendations, closing sales and achieving sales targets, as applicable.
- Collaborate with business development team as applicable to ensure that all possible actions are undertaken to secure business in competitive situations.
- Confirm acceptance of incoming purchase orders from customers or channel partners and identify sales orders ready for fulfillment within the ERP order fulfillment process; coordinate with Production and Shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Create and update cases within the ERP system related to customer or channel partner complaints or incidents, collaborate with operations, business development or other subject matter experts as required to resolve cases quickly and efficiently.
- Meet with prospects and customers at networking events, conferences, and site meetings, participate in company sales/business development meetings, assist with promoting and executing company events, answer phone calls and respond to emails on a timely basis.
Qualifications and Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, in a life science discipline preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in life sciences, sales role, or a related field with customer-facing experience.
- Experience applying strategic sales skills with proven ability to develop and grow key accounts is preferred.
- Preferred experience using Enterprise Resource Planning solutions, such as Oracle, SAP, or alternative software platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communications abilities in both sales and scientific settings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent listening skills with the ability to process information efficiently.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple projects.
- Creative thinker and strong interpersonal skills.
- High level of proficiency with PC software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, Google application suite).

- Ability to travel to business venues for multiple days, on occasion
