Job description

Lumber Plus is a progressive specialty building materials dealer. Our rapid and robust growth requires additional personnel to bolster our operations on the ground in Miami-Dade territory.


We are currently seeking inside sales representatives to join our growing sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Represent Lumber Plus professionally with customers and specific account assignments
  • Primary owner of customer relationship with day-to-day customer relations
  • Regular frequency of quality sales calls to customers and prospects
  • Develop new business; identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing customers
  • Use the CRM system as a sales tool to record activities and facilitate transactional follow-up in compliance with company guidelines
  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of spec sheets and submittal requirements for your customers on their key job sites

Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Must have prior building materials sales experience
  • Responsible for selling and maintaining current sales and promotions policies, policies regarding payment, exchanges, and security practices.
  • Demonstrated experience using a CRM platform.
  • Maintain records related to sales.
  • Answers incoming calls for the department.
  • Must be organized and have good time management skills.
  • Possesses strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Maintains excellent regular attendance and punctuality at work to ensure a high-quality and timely response for customers.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.

Education/Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in building material sales.
  • Experience in the lumber industry is a PLUS.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese is a PLUS
