What Were Looking For: The ideal candidate will have at least two years of management & leadership experience with an inside sales or technical sales role. Salary Range: based on experience Inside Sales Manager Provide leadership to the inside sales team in the performance of their job duties such as responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues or complaints while still providing day-to-day support of customer accounts. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Implement and provide feedback on company-provided growth strategies and strategic business initiatives for Ernst Instruments. 2. Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department, such as quote/win ratio. 3. Work with the GM to set monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals. 4. Work with the sales team to create proposals that accurately explain all the technical information and have the correct pricing/delivery. 5. Handle challenging customer inquiries directly. 6. Identify applications that products are most often used for. 7. Distribute and organize the workload based on available staff and inquiry difficulty. 8. Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activities to provide the most relevant and accurate information to customers. 9. Provide guidance for team members and customers regarding technical issues and difficult applications. 10. Collaborate with the sales team to qualify incoming opportunities. 11. Demonstrate the ability to analyze opportunities and utilize a consultative sales approach to provide solutions. 12. Demonstrate an effective prospecting discipline using phone, email, and digital platforms. 13. Utilize software to manage customer accounts, track important leads, and follow up. 14. Mitigate risk by avoiding applications or jobs that could be problematic for the company. 15. Develop and maintain work instructions/procedures for Sales and Order Entry tasks. 16. Recommend specific inventory levels that could improve the quote/win ratio. 17. Help interpret elaborate orders or orders with conflicting information. 18. Communicate with the A/R Department to ensure that payments and other terms have been properly addressed by the Order Entry Specialist. 19. Fill in for missing workers when needed. 20. Help employees with routine computer issues. 21. Manage human resource activities within the area of accountability, including staffing, performance management, salary administration, and other related activities. 22. Mentor and interact with teams to foster growth and encourage development. 23. Any additional responsibilities as assigned or needed.
