SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the gross profit performance and operating performance of the sales office. The Inside Sales Manager is directly responsible for training, directing and developing inside salespeople and customer service representatives to ensure the financial success of the sales office. This ISM must work collaboratively and collegially with the Branch Manager, who is equally responsible for Sales Growth and Gross Profit performance as well as the operating performance. The Inside Sales Manager will continually improve the branch financial and operating performance, identify new customers, Increase quote conversion rate and territory market share. ISM will continually improve the productivity and performance of the branch employees, and provide coordinated, seamless and outstanding service to PEI's customers.

Previous sales management experience in the electronic connector industry is highly preferred

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Five years' professional selling experience in electro-mechanical components industry, preferably with high value electronic connectors
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Train inside salespeople and customer service representatives who will be highly proficient and successful at selling and supporting PEI's products
  • Organize, manage, direct and lead the inside sales force
  • Develop and mentor the inside sales force to continually improve their skills and enhance their value to PEI
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to all internal branch employees.
  • Work in conjunction with the Branch Manager to grow the customer account base, increase quote conversion rates, increase overall sales and gross profit dollars for the branch
  • Maintain a customer base of your own accounts, while fulfilling the requirements of the Inside Sales Representative role
  • Develop new customer accounts and reactivate old customer accounts to increase PEI's visibility and sales to customers
  • Implement strategic and operating plans to maximize PEI's chances of financial and operating success including setting and tracking goals and objectives
  • In collaboration with the North American Sales Manager, Regional Territory Manager and the Branch Manager develop annual operating and sales budgets including staffing requirements, capital expenditure requirements and compensation plans
  • Promote PEI's corporate vision and values to encourage teamwork, continual improvement, customer focus and ethical behavior
  • Support all internal and external quality, customer and government compliance requirements
  • Keep informed of competitor activities, industry trends and new markets to defend and grow PEI's market share
  • Travel required a few times per year to corporate meetings
