Location: Long Beach, California (Onsite, one remote working day per week)

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the Inside Sales team through regular 1:1s, coaching, utilizing KPI's, and transparent feedback
  • Set clear expectations and goals; lead with a focus on team autonomy while maintaining accountability and help to remove roadblocks
  • Promote a supportive culture of trust, recognition, and continuous improvement. Recognize and identify team members' strengths, while encouraging continuous learning and development to bridge any gaps.
  • Earn the respect and trust of the team through leading by example, encouraging work/life balance while meeting and exceeding goals
  • Oversee onboarding, training, coverage for absences, and conduct quarterly/annual performance reviews
  • Represent the department in leadership meetings when the VP of Sales is unavailable

Sales Strategy & Operational Excellence

  • Analyze, improve, and develop sales strategies to align with business objectives, reduce errors and improve responsiveness
  • Drive key initiatives around quote turnaround time and conversion rates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development and other departments to grow opportunities

Customer & Account Management

  • Manage your own portfolio of key customer accounts from sourcing to delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all contract customers, serving as the escalation point for all customer requests and concerns
  • Ensure long-term agreements (LTAs) are tracked, fulfilled, and remain penalty-free
  • Prepare and lead customer business reviews & on-site meetings
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by solving problems quickly and communicating effectively

Metrics & Reporting

  • Track and report on sales metrics, order status, backlog, and quote performance
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, programs, and pipeline activity

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in Aerospace sales, preferably in distribution
  • Extensive knowledge of aerospace fasteners and industry standards
  • Proven success with dynamic quoting and market-based pricing strategies
  • Sourcing experience using aerospace hardware databases/tools
  • Strong analytical mindset with business acumen and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with Aerospace OEM's, approvals, certifications and quality standards
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable presenting to both customers and internal executives
  • A continuous improvement mindset and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Experience with reviewing and redlining LTA contract language a plus

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 plus bonus

The starting base salary will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's skills and experience.
