Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Inside Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing inside sales team. This position plays a crucial role in generating a strong pipeline of qualified leads, supporting external sales efforts, and ensuring smooth sales operations through effective team leadership and process management.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with a passion for coaching, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a data-driven mindset, and a proactive approach to managing people and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, mentor, and motivate Inside Sales Representatives.
- Set performance expectations and deliver continuous coaching and feedback.
- Facilitate onboarding and professional development initiatives.
Lead Management
- Oversee lead evaluation, qualification, and routing processes.
- Implement scoring models and protocols to enhance lead quality.
- Ensure timely and consistent follow-up and CRM documentation.
Sales Support & Alignment
- Collaborate with field sales to ensure smooth lead hand-off and communication.
- Provide context and insights to enhance client conversion and relationship building.
- Maintain service-level agreements for response times and lead sharing.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key sales metrics such as conversion rates and team productivity.
- Generate and analyze reports using CRM and analytics tools.
- Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Process Optimization
- Streamline workflows and vetting protocols to increase efficiency.
- Coordinate with marketing to align on lead generation and feedback loops.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of sales experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in inside sales operations, preferably in B2B or service-driven sectors.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Analytical thinker with a results-driven approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in technology, security, or other consultative service industries.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Familiarity with lead scoring tools and sales enablement platforms.
