As an Inside Account Manager at AWC, you'll collaborate with Technical Account Managers and technology partners to master their products. You'll build customer relationships to drive business growth, leveraging solutions to boost efficiency, safety, and productivity across industries. Ideal candidates have experience in industrial instrumentation, valves, pressure management, and a strong account management/sales track record. Expect diverse, exciting manufacturing challenges and daily learning opportunities.
How you'll make an impact: - Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all inquiries and support needs
- Identify and pursue new opportunities within assigned lines of business, as well as prospecting new clients in target industries
- Collaborate with external sales team members to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on instrumentation products, including flow, pressure, and temperature measurement devices, as well as valves and pressure management solutions
- Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery and installation of products
- Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and offer suggestions to increase efficiency
- Establish and manage customer requirements, process Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) including quote follow-ups and pro-expedite purchase orders
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
Skills you'll need: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfactions and relationship-building
- Must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
- Willingness to periodically be on call for after-hours & weekend support
Here's what will set you apart: - Basic knowledge of Industrial Control and Measurement products, including but not limited to Valves, Instrumentation, Controls, Pneumatics, Sensors, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in account management, sales, or business development within the industrial controls and automation industry
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
