Job Description: Ingot Production Shift Lead Position Summary: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Ingot Production Shift Lead to oversee the daily operations of our ingot production line during assigned shifts at our solar panel manufacturing facility in White, GA. This leadership role is responsible for supervising production staff, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and support a team of ingot production operators during the assigned shift.
- Ensure safe, consistent, and efficient production of silicon ingots according to company standards and production schedules.
- Monitor critical process parameters and respond to alarms or deviations promptly.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
- Conduct shift handovers and communicate key production updates to incoming teams and management.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies.
- Train and mentor team members on SOPs, equipment operation, and quality procedures.
- Complete and maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues during the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or technical degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Experience in high-temperature or materials processing environments preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues effectively.
- Proficient in reading and understanding SOPs, technical documents, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (heat, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods).
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
