Infrastructure Project Manager for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Financial Services clients in
New York, NY. Responsibilities: - Focus on critical day-to-day activities associated with the coordination of new client connectivity and extranet services.
- Role is hands-on, in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
- Responsible for multiple ongoing projects throughout their execution cycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope and timeline.
- Manage the installation and coordination of new electronic trading infrastructure at Data Centers and Co Location sites.
- Focus on project lifecycle for electronic trading including: hardware procurement, installation coordination of network equipment, circuits, cross-connects.
- Collaborate with partners in the business, technology and risk and control functions.
- Coordination with various managers and technical personnel during all project phases
Required Skills: - 15 years of technology project management experience
- minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in project management, product management in the finance and technology field.
- Financial services firm / industry
- Previous knowledge and implementation experience of Kanban and Agile
- Proven related experience preferable in the financial services industry, Wealth Management, Low Latency, Market Data and Trading Desk or management consulting.
- Experience in running Physical Infrastructure and Engineering relate Programs/Projects.
- Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Telecommunications, Datacentre Facilities
- Proven ability to manage delivery/execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives.
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced highly demanding environment.
- Experience working with client facing groups, market data teams and a full knowledge of exchanges NYSE, Nasdaq, BATS.etc)
- Knowledge of computer networking topology.
- Knowledge of and the low latency and real time market data environment.
- Knowledge of working with data B2B providers like BT and TNS.
- Proven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business, Technology, Operations, Control partners and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriately.
- Strong presentation skills, including ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information to create polished presentations for management.
- Independent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn the business and understand detailed requirements.
- Experience working with cross functional teams, including Operations, Design/Arch Technology, Risk and Compliance.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and MS Teams.
- Familiar with network infrastructure, IT Infrastructure, and network architecture.
- Knowledge and experience in workflow management software (e.g., Jira) and ServiceNow.
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office tools, especially Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
