Position Title: Infrastructure Project Manager
Location: McLean, VA. (The role may require occasional in-person meetings currently and could shift to a hybrid model in the future so Preference for local candidates only.)
Duration: 10 months assignment
About the Role: Project Manager Senior, is a new program in the EO&T space, they are trying to stand up a program to pursue a software defined Data center strategy, in terms of how we build our infrastructure for different applications and systems. That will be a Program management role with some Project management responsibilities, helping team organizing themselves, identify the scope, close partnership with the Product owners, building out, reporting, doing stakeholder management. Ideally a networking firewall security background. Communication should be good, being able to articulate their thoughts across the project team, high level executives etc.
Must Haves: Must have program management experience (macro-level management of multiple projects/groups of stakeholders). Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and Jira. Should be familiar with agile methodology. Not looking for Agile Coach/Scrum Masters. Zscaler or Palo Alto Firewall security exp.
We can focus on these areas: - Network Security Experience: Hands-on experience with network security products, especially Zscaler or Palo Alto solutions.
- Firewall Security Knowledge: Familiarity with networking and firewall security principles to effectively oversee transitions and address project needs.
- Understanding of strategies related to building infrastructure for diverse applications and systems.
- Proven program management experience (macro-level oversight across multiple projects and stakeholders).
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Experience with agile methodologies (not as an Agile Coach/Scrum Master but for applying agile principles to project management).
- Ability to collaborate closely with product owners and other team members to define project scope, organize efforts, and manage deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of reporting to and aligning with high-level executives.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure and program management.
