Move Forward with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for an Infrastructure Engineer in Aurora, CO. Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure
Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises cloud computing environments
Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions
Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management
Provide operational support for the platform
Administrative fluency with the following (or vendor equivalent): Red Hat Linux (v7+, 8+ preferred), Rancher
Experience troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based OS. This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity.
Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly Qualification We Must Have Requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience
Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services using technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and GitLab
Exposure to cloud-based web services, particularly AWS
Knowledge of secure coding practices, including OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
Strong understanding of networking concepts and architectures
Experience working with scanning tools, such as Nessus, Fortify, and Anchore
Broad infrastructure knowledge, including computer, networking, storage, and virtualization technologies
Experience in developing, testing, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, and C
