Our client is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Consultant to support and maintain critical internal systems and networks during a transitional period. Based in their San Francisco office, this consultant will work directly with our IT Infrastructure team to deliver immediate value across our global offices.

We are seeking a hands-on technologist who can independently triage issues, maintain operational stability, and ensure a seamless turnover of knowledge to future full-time staff.

This is a six-month contract. The pay is $76.00 per hour W2. This is an onsite position. Public parking.

What You'll Achieve
  • Hit the ground running in an active production environment, independently troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain corporate IT infrastructure including networking, systems, and out-of-band management.
  • Perform day-to-day administration tasks across on-prem systems including server hardware, virtualization, storage, authentication systems, and network services.
  • Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, switch deployments, and OOB access devices with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of changes, discoveries, and workflows to support clean handoff to permanent hires.
  • Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Support office infrastructure expansion projects and collaborate across IT pillars as required.
  • Follow operational best practices for change control, incident response, and uptime risk management.
About You
  • Required Technical Expertise
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper SRX and MX platforms (Junos CLI, security policies, NAT, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, MC-LAG, redundancy setups).
  • Capable Aruba CX switching administration (VSF/VSX, VLANs, ACLs, spanning-tree tuning) and Aruba ClearPass management (802.1x authentication, SCEP, device profiling, RADIUS/TACACS integration).
  • Proficient with Opengear appliances for Smart Out-of-Band, cellular failover, reverse SSH tunnels.
  • Experience working with systems monitoring and alerting platforms (Syslog, SNMP, Nagios, LibreNMS, Splunk, etc.).
  • Solid networking fundamentals: Subnetting, VRFs, ACLs, LACP, STP, QoS, GRE/IPsec tunnels, site-to-site VPNs, and remote access VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux and Windows servers in an infrastructure environment.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and infrastructure automation practices.

  • Knowledge of enterprise authentication and SSO platforms (Okta, SAML, PKI infrastructures).
