Join our team as a Senior Systems Administrator, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. We're looking for someone with strong experience across Linux, Windows/Active Directory, VMware, and networking to support both daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers and related hardware
- Manage Active Directory, forests, and group policies
- Monitor system performance, apply updates/patches, and ensure security compliance
- Deploy and upgrade VMware environments
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Automate tasks using shell scripts or scripting languages like Bash or Python
- Support infrastructure builds, testing environments, and prototype systems
- Maintain documentation and support system audits
- Participate in an on-call support rotation
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in systems administration
- Strong background in Linux OS (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Experience managing Active Directory and Windows Server environments
- Hands-on experience with VMware deployment and upgrades
- Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet)
- Experience in the aerospace or mission-critical environments
- Exposure to IaC tools, Red Hat Satellite, IdM, or Docker/Kubernetes
