Job Summary: Curbstone is a payment technology company specializing in secure, real-time credit card processing for businesses running on IBMi (AS/400) systems. We power reliable payment infrastructure for a wide range of industries including retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and distribution.
We're a tight-knit team of engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers working together to simplify PCI compliance and streamline payment workflows. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll support and evolve Curbstone's internal network infrastructure and server environment. This is a broad role with exposure to networking, server maintenance, security, and end-user support. You'll assist in critical audits, proactively monitor systems, and contribute to the secure and smooth running of our operations. You'll work closely with the technology team and occasionally with our customers to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support a secure, high-performing environment.
This is an on-site position ideal for someone early in their career who's eager to grow fast in a technical, hands-on role.
Job Description: Key Responsibilities Network & Server Infrastructure: - Monitor and maintain internal server systems and networking hardware
- Support system improvements including firewall rules, patching, DNS/DHCP management, and resource allocation
- Help perform root cause analysis for network and connectivity issues
Security & Compliance: - Assist with PCI, SOC, and GCR audits and documentation
- Run vulnerability scans and resolve issues based on security findings
- Contribute to ongoing compliance and best practices for infrastructure security
Hardware & Asset Management: - Set up and configure new employee workstations and assist with onboarding
- Maintain inventory of company devices and IT assets
Support & Monitoring: - Proactively monitor server performance and recommend system upgrades
- Assist with internal service desk tickets and general IT troubleshooting
- Provide customer-facing support
Collaboration & Documentation: - Maintain accurate documentation of systems, network diagrams, and audit logs
- Work cross-functionally with other technical team members on infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For Experience & Skills: - 1-2 years of experience in an infrastructure, sysadmin, or IT support role
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs)
- Experience configuring and maintaining Windows and/or Linux servers
- Exposure to virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Comfortable working in a regulated, security-focused environment
