SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Valley Position Overview:

This is a day-shift position and will be required to work on site.

This is an infrastructure operations support role with a core focus on incident management. Responsible for customer and alert generated incident resolution.

Responsible for the administration and operations of Sutter Health's server, network, client services and/or storage infrastructure. Collaborates with application and infrastructure groups on implementation and daily operations and proactively monitors and maintains the virtualized servers and network operations, their performance, and their availability. Ensures Sutter Health's infrastructure operations are conducted in accordance with standard procedures that meet service level metrics. Contributes to all aspects of infrastructure daily operations and special projects. Job Description:

EDUCATION:
  • HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • First-level troubleshooting and monitoring of enterprise-class server hardware, software, SAN, network, voice systems, and related technologies
  • Ability to document issues, solutions, and standard procedures accurately to support internal knowledge sharing and continuity
  • Practical experience supporting both server and network environments in a professional IT setting
  • Ability to perform minor system or network changes and manage those changes using ServiceNow Change Management or a similar ITSM tool
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to lead troubleshooting calls and clearly articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience engaging with vendors for support, managing escalations, and maintaining detailed records of all vendor communications and resolutions
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of active directory, group policy, domain name system (DNS), display port content protection (DPCP), simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP), Cisco internetwork operating system (IOS), operating systems (Windows Server), Windows and VMware infrastructure architecture and concepts.
  • Ability to recognize relationships and interdependence between systems and processes.
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mission critical environment.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Department: Network specialty, Basic knowledge of network infrastructure which may include converged internet protocol (IP) networks, wireless local area network (WLAN), wide area network (WAN)/metropolitan area network (MAN), local area network (LAN), virtual private network (VPN)/Firewall. Transmission control protocol (TCP)/IP and open systems interconnection (OSI) model. Routing protocol - enhanced interior gateway routing protocol (EiGRP), open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP). frame relay/asynchronous transfer mode (FR/ATM), point-to-point protocol (PPP), high-level data link control (HDLC), multi-link point-to-point protocol (MLPPP) and virtual local area network (VLAN). digital signal and transmission line (DS3/T3), DS1/T1, fast Ethernet (FAST E), gigabit Ethernet (Gig E), 10 gigabit Ethernet (10 Gig E).

Pay Range is $36.59 to $54.89 / hour The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
