Compensation$70,087.36 - $106,136.11(Based on Experience)SummaryWe are looking for a Security Analyst 2 with at least three - five years of experience working to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protecting systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. As a Security Analyst 2, you will be a key participant in a layered security model using multiple security products and practices to protect the organization against a vast spectrum of cyber and physical threats. Perform daily security tasks related to monitoring, detection, and remediation of security risks and security events. In this role you will respond to information security-related questions and inquiries using established information security tools and procedures and administer information security controls using software and vendor security systems. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, manage, document, and support strategies related to Great Lakes Water Authority's (GLWA) security infrastructure components including firewalls, intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, encryption, and alerting. To be a successful candidate, you must have a working knowledge of network routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with endpoint detection and response (EDR), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), firewalls, Active Directory (AD), vulnerability assessment tools and other security tools found in large network environments; along with experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutionsCreating and tracking security investigations to resolutionComposing security alert notifications and other communicationsAdvising incident responders in the steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidentsStaying up to date with current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasuresParticipate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activitiesDevelop and implement security policies and procedures to help enhance overall security of the organizationProvision, install/configure, operate, and maintain Information Technology (IT) security infrastructure including firewalls, intrusion prevention, vulnerability scanning, encryption, and alerting.Consult, coordinate, and communicate with business units and IT staff providing solutions and recommendations which integrate with current and future database, application, and infrastructure architectures.Security planning and management, data management, systems maintenance, and performance management of one or more systems.Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the system and infrastructure.Administer, maintain, and support GLWA's security infrastructure, including installation, documentation, administration, and maintenance activities.Review all technical network and system designs and ensure that they meet business and technical requirements and GLWA network and system infrastructure and enterprise IT standards.
