Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Help Desk Specialist to join our team. The primary role of the IT Support Specialist is to provide technical assistance to computer system users. This includes answering questions and resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or remotely. You will also work closely with the onboarding team to set up computers for new hires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Imaging and setting up computers at desk locations
- Answering user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve issues
- Installing software or performing hardware testing remotely
- Maintaining records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial actions taken
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions (JAMF or Mosley a plus).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira/Confluence, ConnectWise Manage/Automate).
- Reading technical manuals, conferring with users, or conducting computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems
- Assisting new hires with computer setup and questions
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Knowledge of computer software, including configuration management, desktop communications, operating systems, and internet directory services
