Information Technology Specialist JTG is currently seeking Information Technology Specialists.
Location: Reston, VA
Status: Full-Time
Responsibilities: - Ensure that personnel have appropriate network connectivity, computer hardware, computer software, and other IT requirements needed to accomplish tasks and deliverables.
- Install, test, and maintain hardware and software.
- Perform all system upgrades and configure all communication systems as required.
- Provide the IT technical systems and continuous operations and maintenance support required to ensure defined percent availability of IT systems during operating hours (typically uptime requirements exceed 99%, however, unique environments may require alternate percentages for system availability).
Basic Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship
- Two (2) or more years of experience working as an IT help desk or similar role directly diagnosing, resolving, escalating, and effectively communicating user issues
- Experience managing computer software and licenses, hardware and physical data centers, data communications equipment and protocols, and security compliance
- Knowledge of Active Directory tools
- Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Service workspace, EC2, S3 and VPC
- Experience working with cloud-based infrastructures
- Knowledgeable of issues common in teleworking and how to resolve them quickly
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in IT either directly with U.S. Government agencies or as a contractor
Education: - Bachelor's degree (at minimum)
