Summary You will serve as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist in the N9, SECURITY DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER, JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER WING. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will maintain operational security posture for multiple information systems. You will disseminate information and ensure computer security practices are adhered to by functional areas and subordinate units. You will review, analyze and validate certification and accreditation packages. You will create and maintains computer system security plans and enforces mandatory access control techniques. You will ensure network computer system and software designs address information system security requirements. You will manage CJSFW (Commander, Joint Strike Fighter Wing), SAP (Special Access Program) and SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) actions to ensure compliance with information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program. You will evaluate unusual circumstances to recognize and define potential vulnerabilities. You will oversee the installation of physical and technical security barriers to prevent others from improperly obtaining security information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing IT system requirements by addressing security operations (enforcing policies, maintaining security tools, ensuring compliance with regulations) for (SAP) Special access programs or (SCI) Sensitive Compartmented Information activities to ensure the protection of classified information and the organizations mission. GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assessing IT system requirements by monitoring security operations (enforcing policies, maintaining security tools, ensuring compliance with regulations) for (SAP) Special access programs or (SCI) Sensitive Compartmented Information activities to ensure the protection of classified information and the organizations mission. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Collaborating with organization leadership to establish Strategic Plans as well as the project plans related to managing IT systems and processes for the command. 3. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Serving as an organizational representative on teams or committees within and outside the organization developing new architectures, designs, configurations, policies, approaches or techniques that impact beyond the scope of the organization. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
