Position Summary:

DTS is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to lead and manage cybersecurity initiatives with responsibility for scope, budget, resource coordination, and delivery across multiple technical teams, including security engineers and compliance professionals. This role requires the ability to translate business needs into executable plans, ensure timely delivery of complex security initiatives, and maintain alignment with federal frameworks and internal quality standards.

You will play a key role in shaping and overseeing cybersecurity projects, such as the deployment of Microsoft Stack security tools (Sentinel, Defender, Purview, etc.), cloud security engineering, compliance (CMMC/NIST), and incident response coordination. This position reports to executive leadership and collaborates closely with technical leads.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead multiple, cross-functional cybersecurity projects through the full project lifecycle

Manage scope, budget, schedule, risks, and deliverables for each engagement

Support project delivery by coordinating with security engineers, cloud architects, and compliance analysts

Track task progress and dependencies using Asana and Microsoft tools

Own and improve cybersecurity service delivery processes with a focus on operational maturity

Facilitate change management practices to ensure project adoption and minimize risk

Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including charters, status reports, stakeholder communications, and risk registers

Act as primary liaison between internal teams, DTS leadership, and clients

Maintain alignment with cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-171, 800-53, CMMC, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP

Ensure project stakeholders are informed and engaged through regular communication and status reviews

Support incident response coordination and security control implementation timelines

Required Skills & Technologies:

Working knowledge of the Microsoft security stack, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Security Center, and Microsoft Purview to effectively coordinate with technical leads and ensure security solution alignment with project goals

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 environments such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive to support planning, resource alignment, and stakeholder communication

Understanding of Azure administration components, including RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access policies, and cloud automation workflows to oversee technical project phases and risk mitigation

General understanding of AvePoint and its use in Microsoft tenant migrations, enabling informed scheduling, scoping, and client expectations

Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security controls, including CMMC, DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and information assurance (IA) policies to support project alignment with cybersecurity standards and audit requirements

Experience managing projects that include ITIL-aligned change management, configuration control, and incident response planning

Awareness of best practices for securing systems and networks in accordance with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and other frameworks

Education, Experience & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or related discipline

5+ years of experience in project or program management, including oversight of cybersecurity or IT operations teams

Proven experience managing cross-functional technical teams and multiple cybersecurity projects simultaneously

Understanding of key cybersecurity certifications and their relevance to role qualifications and staffing

Preferred certifications for a project management context:

o PMP
