Summary
The Hands-On IT Manager will have a strong background in IT operations, infrastructure modernization, and application support. This individual will be responsible for leading a small technical team, managing IT projects, maintaining system integrity, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions that align with business objectives. The Hands-On IT Manager will actively participate in both technical tasks and strategic planning to drive business growth and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Oversee the implementation, upgrade, and support of software applications and IT solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to IT team members, fostering professional development and adherence to IT best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and develop strategic IT roadmaps.
- Conduct regular system reviews, audits, and performance tuning to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across applications, databases, servers, and network environments.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing opportunities to enhance systems and processes.
- Manage IT projects from conception through deployment, including resource planning, budgeting, and timeline management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, and software development teams to deliver integrated IT solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data security policies, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
- Participate actively in IT governance, setting standards for operations, cybersecurity, and systems development.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or application support.
- Demonstrated success in leading IT teams and delivering technology projects on time and within budget.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Technology Requirements
- Full knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Database administration and optimization.
- Strong understanding of web architecture, scripting, and networking protocols.
- Hands-on experience managing and supporting environments including:
- ASP.NET, VB.NET, .NET 6 or higher, C , Internet Information Services (IIS), Visual Studio
- Windows Server OS and Windows OS management
- Experience with tools and technologies such as:
- Telerik UI for ASP.NET, AJAX, JavaScript, ActiveReports, Web Services
- Familiarity with system security practices, backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
