A major energy company is seeking a Manager of IT Site Services to oversee regional IT support operations across large-scale industrial facilities. This leader will manage site-based IT teams, support construction and commissioning phases, and ensure high-quality delivery of technology services and infrastructure projects. The position focuses on balancing proactive customer service with technical excellence across dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site IT teams providing end-user support, device troubleshooting, and system maintenance across plant operations.
- Lead site-based technology projects, including construction-related IT setup, telecom system integrations, and commissioning/startup support.
- Maintain project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and quality standards for IT infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with construction, telecoms, and plant technology teams to support access control, PA/GA, VHF/UHF radios, and other telecom systems.
- Implement standard operating procedures for IT operations, security, disaster recovery, and backup processes.
- Analyze departmental needs, identify process improvements, and support leadership with clear reporting and risk mitigation strategies.
- Foster a strong customer service culture while supporting technology re-engineering and modernization initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of IT project management and infrastructure leadership experience, preferably within energy, oil & gas, or industrial construction environments.
- Proven success managing large-scale technology projects in operational and construction settings.
- Strong technical understanding of plant-based telecom systems (access control, radios, PA/GA systems, etc.).
- Excellent communication, analytical, vendor management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure, field-oriented environments.
