ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Technology Group Lead to join our team in the Chantilly, VA. As the IT Group Lead you will be providing technical expertise and management for a large distributed IT infrastructure. This role provides senior-level oversight of the organization's distinct IT infrastructure, strategy, and operations. This position ensures the technology aligns with business goals by managing teams, budgets, and projects, while staying updated on emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain security across systems and data. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with organizational objectives, including technology roadmaps, budget allocation, and future technology adoption. Lead and mentor IT teams across various disciplines like systems administration, network engineering, security, and helpdesk by assigning tasks, and evaluating performance. Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud services, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. Initiate, plan, and execute IT projects, including new system implementations, upgrades, and system migrations, while adhering to timelines and budgets. Develop and manage the IT budget, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Effectively communicate IT initiatives and updates to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, users, and technical teams. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact on the organization, driving innovation and continuous improvement. Domestic Travel up to 25% Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field with 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology field
Demonstrated leadership and management of people and teams
Experience in developing and mentoring personnel; identifying opportunities for personnel training and skills advancement
Knowledge and experience providing technical management to IT Teams procuring, installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining distributed IT Systems
Experience with interfacing and briefing military, civilian, and contractor personnel at all levels
Experience preparing and presenting senior level briefings, reports, and IT project schedules
Possesses and can articulate up-to-date knowledge of latest IT developments and trends Preferred Qualifications: Previous NRO and NRO/COMM experience is highly desired.
ITIL Foundations or higher certification is highly desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
One or more of the following certifications is desired: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional, CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Administrator, Security +
Experience using a Service Desk ticketing system, such as Remedy or ServiceNow
Experience maintaining ICD503 accredited systems Clearance Requirements: Must have a current / active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
