Aleut is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Equipment Custodian (ITEC) to manage and maintain an assigned list of IT equipment, ensuring compliance with all government regulatory standards. The ITEC will be responsible for conducting regular inventories and overseeing the proper handling and tracking of all equipment in addition to other duties as assigned Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all assigned IT equipment using the DPAS and ServiceNow platforms
Maintain excellent communication with all business stakeholders, to include Government Client, Internal Corporate Partners and Current/Potential Business Partners. Receive shipments and identify them in accordance with purchase orders
Learn the procurement processes within Aleut to include Costpoint and Aleut Connect Conduct inventory and pickups from Military Property Locations (BECO) Conduct deliveries to each location when required Purchase equipment using Company Purchasing Card Conduct regular inventory checks, including monthly checks of a randomly selected 10% of assigned IT equipment, a full annual physical inventory, and unscheduled on-the-spot checks
Ensure compliance with all government regulatory standards, including those outlined in DAFMAN and other applicable DoD procedures, by maintaining comprehensive documentation and submitting required report
Complete Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and Entrance Exit Letter (EEL) paperwork as required to support network security requirements and asset disposal
Coordinate with the configuration management team to ensure accurate reporting of location and warranty status data for all assigned Configuration Items (CI) assets.
Coordinate with the management team to align inventory practices with organizational goals
Oversee the tagging and logging of new equipment with appropriate property tags.
Accurately document and report all equipment transfers, losses, and disposals.
Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure the secure storage and movement of equipment
Provide guidance and training to team members on proper inventory practices and regulatory compliance
Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and procedures regarding the handling and movement of IT equipment
Requirements: Must possess a current TS SCI.
Degree in information technology, or logistics; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or equipment custodianship, preferably in a government or DoD environment.
Strong understanding of government regulatory standards related to IT equipment management.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods.
Experience with inventory management software.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse personnel, including government, military, and contractor staff.
Preferred: Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
