The IT Support Specialist will oversee the technical support and service operations and functions in the organization. This resource will manage our Mac laptops and network infrastructure and other cloud-based services.


Essential functions

Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance.

Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.

Record information such as computer operating time, problems that occurred, and actions taken.

Analyzes software and hardware needs for the organization.

Oversees and facilitates the installation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware, and software.

Identifies and recommends upgrades and changes to hardware and software, maintaining efficient and effective operations in the organization.

Facilitates and oversees the technical support and helpdesk roles, ensuring effective and helpful support is provided to end users.

Knowledge of Apple Business Manager preferred

Onboarding and offboarding of employees MAC access, building access, and software sign-in.

Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting leadership of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organization's systems and operations.

Coordinates and schedules large-scale software and hardware installations.

Ensures IT-related projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time, and within budget.

Collaborate with external Managed Service Providers as needed

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365, 8x8 phone system

Thorough understanding of technology, software, and hardware.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficient with or able to quickly learn the software and applications used in the organization and the industry.



Preferred education and experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

At least five years of related IT support experience preferred

IT service provider or MSP experience preferred

Mac experience preferred
