Information Systems Security Manager with Security Clearance

Location: Naval Station Norfolk, VA Job Summary: The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is responsible for managing and ensuring the security and compliance of information systems within the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC). This role involves overseeing cybersecurity operations, maintaining system accreditation, and ensuring adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) policies and standards. The ISSM plays a critical role in safeguarding sensitive information and supporting the JECC's mission objectives by implementing robust security measures and responding to cyber threats. Responsibilities/Duties: Cybersecurity Management: Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for JECC systems, ensuring compliance with DoD, USTRANSCOM, and JECC cybersecurity policies. Coordinate with service providers on security and information assurance topics. Develop, prepare, and recommend policies to ensure continual certification and accreditation compliance. Incident Handling and Reporting: Respond to cybersecurity incidents and ensure timely reporting to the USTRANSCOM Cyber Operations Center. Complete initial incident reports within 4 hours of notification and final reports within 8 business hours. Certification and Accreditation: Assist in the development and submission of certification and accreditation packages for JECC systems. Ensure systems meet security requirements and maintain accreditation throughout their lifecycle. Security Exemptions and Waivers: Manage security exemption and waiver requests, ensuring proper submission, tracking, and removal as required. COMSEC and EKMS Support: Provide technical and operational support for Communications Security (COMSEC) and Electronic Key Management Systems (EKMS). Ensure compliance with service provider policies and maintain zero reportable incidents. Training and Audits: Perform Local Registration Authority (LRA) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties, including monthly audits and reporting. Provide training and guidance to ensure personnel are equipped to handle cybersecurity responsibilities. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare briefings, point papers, and meeting minutes related to cybersecurity performance. Maintain continuity folders and provide monthly status reports on cybersecurity activities. Qualifications: Proficiency Level: Basic (B) in the Information Systems Security Manager (722) work role. Skills: Expertise in cybersecurity management, incident response, and system accreditation. SECRET clearance required; TOP SECRET/SCI eligibility preferred. Education/Certifications: Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) preferred.
