The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in cybersecurity tools such as ePolicy Orchestrator, Nessus, Splunk, and Sentris, and will demonstrate experience managing Azure cloud environments and Kubernetes orchestration. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into the software development lifecycle is essential. This role demands a detail-oriented professional capable of delivering system baseline reports, detecting unauthorized changes, and identifying security anomalies. A strong background in system security, particularly in cloud-based and containerized infrastructures, is critical. Job Description As an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of safeguarding the organization's digital assets. Your role will require you to maintain and enhance the security tools that are pivotal to the agency's cyber defense strategy. You will be expected to have a strong command of ePolicy Orchestrator, Nessus, and Splunk, as these tools will be integral to your daily operations. Your expertise will also extend to managing Sentris for network security, and you will be involved in leveraging Azure cloud services and Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines will be essential to ensure that security measures are seamlessly integrated into the development lifecycle. In addition to tool proficiency, your role will involve providing comprehensive system baseline reports to the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). These reports are crucial for the ISSO to gain insights into the current security posture and to make informed decisions. You will be the frontline defense in identifying and reporting any unapproved changes to the system baseline, ensuring that the organization's security standards are uncompromised. Your vigilance and attention to detail will be key in detecting anomalies and potential security breaches. To excel in this position, experience in system security and a proactive approach to threat detection and resolution will be invaluable.
