Job Title: Information Systems Security Engineer L3 -5829 Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919 Job Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a skilled and proactive Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) Level 3 to support the United States Space Force (USSF). This role offers the chance to contribute directly to mission success and the future of space operations. As an ISSE, you will support classified cybersecurity efforts related to the development and deployment of advanced test and training capabilities essential to maintaining space superiority. We're looking for an expert in Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity standards, with strong technical and communication skills, and a commitment to supporting the USSF mission in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Skills / Experience Required Information Systems Security Engineer L3 Skills and Experience: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, managing DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) information assurance (IA) activities in alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for mission-critical defense programs Expertise in applying IT security control requirements to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of system data and resources, and in gaining approval from system and network configuration managers Strong critical thinking and engineering analysis skills, with a track record of delivering effective technical recommendations for protecting data and resources across systems, networks, and applications Proven leadership and communication abilities, including developing, reviewing, coordinating, and presenting cybersecurity documentation and briefings to government stakeholders and project teams Extensive experience tracking and managing cybersecurity actions, including vulnerability mitigation through POA&Ms, Security Controls Traceability Matrices, and consistent communication with AOs and SCAs Demonstrated success completing cybersecurity assessments and authorization documentation, including support for ATOs and IATTs for a wide range of systems and networks Skilled in developing and executing test plans and procedures to validate system and network security capabilities Well-versed in authoring and contributing to System Security Plans (SSPs) Highly professional and self-directed, with the ability to take initiative, manage competing priorities, collaborate with diverse teams, and deliver results in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment Ability to complete required training and maintain applicable cybersecurity certifications as part of the DoD cybersecurity workforce Education / Certifications Information Systems Security Engineer L3 Education and Certifications: A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution One or more of the following (required): Security+, CCSP, CGRC/CAP, CASP+, Cloud+, SSCP, GSEC-or equivalent military training/certification One or more of the following (desired): CISM, CISSO, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, GCIA, GCSA, GSLC, CGIH, or FITSP-M-or equivalent military training/certification Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Paid Paternal leave Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen.
