Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Info Sys Project Mgr - Obsolescence/Sustainment Engineer (25-195) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position, which will be located in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a crucial role in our mission to support the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. The Obsolescence Sustainment Engineer is directly responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of the End of Sale/End of Life (EOS-EOL) program on the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) Task Order. Essential Functions: Will conduct analyses of the hardware and software in use throughout the enterprise to track, identify, research, End of Sale and/or End of Life conditions, then develop and present creative and thorough solutions to mitigate or resolve the obsolescence condition
Frequent contact with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and cross-functional product teams is required
Present potential courses of action to management, task order leadership, and the government customer for approval
Will coordinate with impacted product teams to ensure understanding and full implementation of approved courses of action to resolve obsolescence conditions.
Frequent coordination and support of other members of the Sustainment Product Team is required

Performs other related duties and assignments as required Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Project Management, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience, or 12 years of experience may be considered in place of a degree
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Must possess product/system sustainment, logistics, acquisition, product lifecycle, and/or product deployment experience
Must be a self-starter with experience working with cross-functional product teams supporting a geographically diverse program
Understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and sustainment concepts
Thorough understanding of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product lifecycle
Working knowledge of lifecycle sustainment strategies
Experience with project management
Formal or informal knowledge of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), and experience researching hardware and software obsolescence.
Familiarity with document automation via common Windows scripting languages like:
Python
PowerShell
Visual Basic
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities Preferred Qualifications : Previous experience supporting a government and/or DoD customer

Flexible Work Arrangements Additional Northrop Grumman Information: Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
