Position Overview The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Information Systems Analyst I, at an advanced level, serves as the system administrator for the Child and Adolescent (C & A) Services computer systems. Designs, installs, and monitors various complex, multi-use computer systems being utilized by both the Division and community providers in tracking clients. Meets with hospital and community agency staff in the design, and installation of shared databases to be used by both DHS staff and the community providers. Essential Functions Serves as the computer application hardware and software analyst for the Division of Mental Health. Serves as the computer applications and hardware analyst for DMH. Collects and retrieves a wide variety of statistical information. Attends a variety of meetings and seminars to remain current on Information Technology products, techniques, and procedures, etc. Develops and designs a database on consumer satisfaction surveys from community providers, hospitals, and agencies. Performs other duties as assigned or required that are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields. Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a related Information Technology field. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of professional experience providing advanced technical support for a public or private organization with both internal and external stakeholders using Information Technology concepts and principles and the principles and techniques of Information Technology documentation. Two (2) years of professional experience using procedures to provide assigned technical and logical analytical ability in defining, evaluating, and solving difficult administrative, organizational, technical, or operational problems where solutions may be of a precedent-establishing or research nature. Two (2) years of professional experience planning and recommending training requirements that are necessary for effective performance using Microsoft products. One (1) year of professional experience using hardware and software, programming languages, and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical services. One (1) year of professional experience attending outside resource instruction and industry seminars summarizing and providing relevant information to component staff. One (1) year of professional experience using methods, procedures, and techniques of conducting feasibility studies for system conversions and enhancements of platform infrastructure and application systems.
