Belvoir, VA (Onsite) Duration : Full-time Clearance : Active TS/SCI w CI Poly Job Description: Join our team as a Security Engineer/Architect where you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of complex systems encompassing multiple enclaves with varying data protection and classification needs. We are looking for a talented individual who understands distributed architectures and cloud systems, especially in the context of big data applications. You will be required to work on-site at least five days a week.
Key Responsibilities: - Create, review, and edit authorization documentation to ensure compliance with federal and DoD policies.
- Implement the DoD RMF system accreditation processes proficiently.
- Evaluate operational risks associated with the integration of open-source, GOTS, and COTS software solutions.
- Utilize various security tools, including vulnerability management systems and automated scanning tools.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams to ensure information exchange and data gathering.
- Follow established security protocols and create processes where needed.
- Support comprehensive security planning, assessments, risk analysis, and management activities.
- Guide development teams on security requirements and recommend solutions to achieve compliance.
- Facilitate secure relationships between external systems and architectures.
- Apply your knowledge of IA policies to develop and implement secure computing environments.
- Engage positively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly and U.S. Citizenship.
- 9+ years of experience as an ISSE or security-focused systems engineer, or 7 years with a Master's degree, or 13 years with a High School Diploma.
- Familiarity with DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP and RMF).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, computer architectures, and network topologies.
- Compliance with DoD 8570 at IAT Level II (SSCP, Security+, CCNA-Security, or GSEC).
- Experience with DISA STIGs, vulnerability management systems, and automated scanning tools.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to work on-site 2-3 days a week, with flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
Preferred Qualifications: - CISSP-ISSEP certification is highly desirable.
