JOB SUMMARY: The Security Engineering group works closely with FPI and Association resources to ensure applications, devices, and users adhere to security best practices. The team also works to troubleshoot usability issues pertaining to the applications we manage, delivering relevant information and issue closure to our customers. Duties include incident management, support and upkeep of endpoint security clients, building/maintaining app integrations, and management of web-related tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work with the team to develop skills and acquire knowledge regarding our suite of Security applications.
  • Adhere to security best practices when configuring applications, working with customers, and completing operational tasks.
  • Work with the team to determine where process improvement and potential upgrades may be beneficial.
  • Develop procedure documentation to fill knowledge gaps and assist with organizing existing documentation.
  • Provide appropriate support to FPI and Association resources when engaged.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure project teams that engage the engineering group adhere to security standards in their initiatives and ensure that projects are designed to work with security tools, rather than around
  • Be willing to shift focus and cross-train between the different applications across the various subsections of the engineering team (integrations, web engineering, endpoint management, networks) depending upon where additional assistance may be required.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursuing a degree in a technology-related field, preferably with a basic understanding of programming, networks, and management of Microsoft applications/operating systems.
  • Must be able to work effectively and maintain strong interpersonal skills, either while working independently or in a team setting
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
