Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced cleared Information Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity efforts for a federal government project. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in risk management, compliance, and advanced cybersecurity practices to ensure the security of critical systems. Work arrangement: Onsite / work located in Washington DC Clearance: Active Secret clearance Duties and Responsibilities Perform risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and mitigation planning. Manage the development and submission of Authority to Operate (ATO) packages. Oversee the implementation of security controls across infrastructure, networks, and applications. Support cloud migration efforts by performing security scans and implementing secure solutions. Develop and maintain incident response plans, contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures. Conduct audits, prepare for inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop security policies, procedures, and training programs. Monitor emerging threats and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks. Reporting on Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 6+ years of work experience in cybersecurity roles. Hold a current CISSP or CISM Certification. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) is desired. Strong Knowledge of NIST RMF and 800-53 Rev. 5. Strong Knowledge of FedRAMP. Desired to have experience with Zero Trust Architecture and identity and access management (IAM). Desired to have knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with development and IT teams. Successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
