Pay Rate: Min $49,961.60 Mid $62,462.40Position Summary

Responsibilities include assisting in the ongoing management of information security policies, procedures and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all organizational healthcare information systems. Works to ensure LRH information systems security policies/procedures are designed, implemented, managed and enforced, using industry best practices, with focus on security directives as mandated by HIPAA and other regulatory entities. Evaluates information systems security risks and requirements for all LRH information systems, according to their technical judgment, policies, procedures, protocols and standards. Assists in providing operational information security support with focus upon account management. Helps to conduct analysis/troubleshooting of all information security related issues, proactively assesses risks to the institution and implements solutions. Assists in the drafting and maintaining technical specification documentation, support manuals, and testing plans. Assists in obtaining business requirements and carrying out recommendations based on solution knowledge on design. Maintains an awareness of information security news and trends.

Std WK Duties: IT Security Analyst I
  • Actively participates in team development, employee engagement activities, and in accomplishing department goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of all systems/technology necessary to complete duties, which includes providing end user technical support of systems.
  • Serves as an information security system consultant within team and for customers. Gathers business requirements and collaborates with others to formulate solutions with structured oversights.
  • Participates in the ongoing maintenance of information security system applications (such as access management), required security profiles, tables, and databases.
  • Proactively facilitates communication within team. Participates in training.
  • Follows Information Security Services methodologies, processes, policies, and procedures. Including but not limited to change management, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Assists in performing periodic reviews to ensure that all systems are accurate and secure. Assists in resolving complex tickets.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of their assigned areas of the solution(s) they support through application build, testing, and configuration.
  • Participates in making business process and system recommendations based on business problems and organizational requirements.
  • Assists in providing a variety of reports to approved users regarding security information, both scheduled and on demand.

Competencies & Skills

Essential:
  • Business and analytical critical thinking.
  • Draft concise, logical, grammatically correct technical documents with supervisor assistance.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and participate on departmental level projects.
  • Knowledge of Directory Services (LDAP, AD) and Internet/Intranet architecture and design. Experience in using information security system applications.
  • Ability to participate and provide feedback on internal security assessments and audits against policies/procedures/best practices.
  • - Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • - Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:
  • Bachelor Degree
Nonessential:
  • Master Degree

Essential:
  • Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
Nonessential:
  • Information Security

Other information:
Experience Essential:
- Experience with information security systems analysis, troubleshooting and working in a team environment to implement new processes and information security systems.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare information security setting.

Certifications Essential:
- SSCP or Security + (must obtain within 6 months of accepting the role)

Preferred:
- CISSP
