HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction

Understands Department of Defense (DOD) RMF based Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes and procedures

Understands CIS-based A&A processes and associated stand-alone Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM) development

Executes applicable test and verification methods for security requirements/controls

Executes applicable domain-based security tools (Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), ACAS, and Nessus)

Performs analysis of, and develops reports for, system test results across multiple security domains

Using XACTA, eMASS, and manual processes; develops and reviews RMF and CIS A&A packages across commercial and DOD unclassified and classified domains

Ability to independently assess RMF security controls and develop supporting documentation

Ensures security controls are implemented correctly, operating as intended, and are producing the desired outcome

This position requires interaction with DoD community customers and industry providers

Maintains current knowledge of industry standard Information Assurance best practices

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree: BA/BS or equivalent years of experience

Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills: RMF, XACTA, eMASS, ACAS, DISA STIGs

Certification: 8570 certification: IAM Level II Certification (CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO)

Security Clearance Level: TOP SECRET with SCI

Required Skills and Abilities: Analysis and documentation of testing results

Location: On Customer Site, MacDill AFB, FL

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
