The Information Desk Receptionistis a part-time bilingual English/Spanish support staff position that reports tothe Campus Services Manager with dotted line reporting to Admissions. This position has the primary responsibilityof learning, maintaining, and updating information about the college in orderto offer assistance to internal and external customers. This position also offers front lineinformation, directions and check in for student services.
Welcome people as they enter the campus, as well as answer chats and phone calls on the College Information Center (CIC), Admissions (ADM), and Transfer-in Queues.
Provide triage to new students, helping them to determine what their next steps are and where to find assistance if needed.
Provide accurate information and direction to others who are not familiar with the college and unsure of which department or person they are seeking.
Serve as a resource person, providing prompt, friendly service, as well as information and guidance to staff and students regarding policies, procedures, events and services available.
Sort and distribute the mail on a daily basis.
Order and maintain supplies for the campus.
Conduct outgoing enrollment phone calls to prospective students.
Enter data into the Admissions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Salesforce) when needed.
Demonstrate excellent human relations, technical and troubleshooting skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional clerical skills training preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
One year of related office experience and excellent customer service skills required.
Demonstrate excellent organizational, technical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent phone and computer skills required.
Ability to work with multiple tasks and priority levels concurrently.
Excellent human relations skills and a proven ability to function effectively with a wide variety of people in a dynamic environment.
