Overview

A leading creative marketing agency is seeking a Influencer Marketing Director based in New York City, Los Angeles, or Miami. This senior-level role will lead strategic influencer and creator marketing programs for high-profile clients across lifestyle, entertainment, travel, and consumer packaged goods.


The ideal candidate is a proven influencer marketing expert with experience managing large-scale campaigns, building strong client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams. This position plays a pivotal role in campaign execution, team leadership, and driving performance across multiple channels and platforms.



Type: Direct hire

Schedule: Full time, regular business hours

Pay: $120,000 - $135,000 salary



Influencer Marketing Director Duties:

Client Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the senior strategic lead for influencer marketing campaigns
  • Own client communication, performance reporting, and long-term relationship building
  • Integrate influencer marketing into broader brand and campaign strategies
  • Identify growth opportunities and drive organic account expansion

Campaign Leadership & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end campaign development including talent sourcing, vetting, contracting, briefing, and content execution
  • Align influencer strategies with brand identity, audience insights, and KPIs
  • Oversee reporting and translate campaign data into insights and optimizations
  • Partner with digital, creative, and production teams to deliver impactful campaigns

Project & Operations Management

  • Manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, and client expectations across multiple concurrent campaigns
  • Lead both internal and external meetings to ensure alignment and momentum
  • Approve contracts, briefs, and content deliverables for quality and compliance
  • Work closely with legal and production teams when necessary

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and manage a growing team of influencer strategists
  • Encourage a collaborative and performance-driven team culture
  • Provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and creative leadership
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to thought leadership and innovation

Administrative & Financial Oversight

  • Track campaign scopes, fees, and budgets in partnership with senior leadership
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within internal systems
  • Support business operations as it relates to influencer campaign scopes and revenue




Influencer Marketing Director Requirements

  • 7+ years of influencer marketing experience, ideally from an agency or in-house brand team
  • Proven success managing large-scale, multi-platform influencer campaigns (paid and organic)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and influencer landscape
  • Exceptional communication, client management, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational abilities with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience working with contracts, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Must be based in New York City, Los Angeles, or Miami
